The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has arrested three former high-ranking officials of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) who are believed to have played a vital role in the Strategic Mobilisation Limited (SML) scandal.
The immediate past Commissioner-General of the authority, Rev. Dr. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, was earlier picked by National Security to aid in an ongoing investigation.
Other top officials, Dr. Isaac Crentsil and Christian Tetteh Sottie, are also in the custody of the OSP.
A statement from the OSP explained that the top men are all linked to the ‘suspected corruption’ and corruption-related offences concerning contracts between the GRA and SML for revenue assurance services.
The arrest was made after the OSP reopened the investigation into the controversial SML deal
