Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, believes the Black Stars will need luck to win their remaining qualifiers and secure a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Black Stars boosted their qualification hopes with back-to-back victories, thrashing Chad 5-0 before a 3-0 win over Madagascar this month.

The four-time African champions are now three points at the top of the table, and with four matches left, Adams insists fortune will play a role in their journey to the Mundial.

“We will need luck to win the rest of our games as the team hopes to win the remaining qualifying matches,” he told Asempa FM.

Ghana currently leads Group I with 15 points and will face Chad and Mali in September before concluding the qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
