Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Shamima Muslim defended recent raids by National Security operatives on former NPP officials, including Dr. Ernest Addison, as standard investigative procedures.
She stated these actions are part of information-gathering efforts targeting individuals relevant to ongoing investigations, emphasizing the importance of due process.
“There are means of gathering information, and one of the means is to visit the homes of these persons of interest,” she told TV3 in an interview.
She insisted that ‘worrying act’ is an investigative measures conducted within legal frameworks and are essential for ensuring accountability and transparency in governance.
“I will just say that we should execute these processes with due recourse to due process and once we are doing that, we should have no problem." Shamima Muslim said.
